Itinerary
Visit Kranj, the capital of Slovenian Alps, where our tourism story was born more than two decades ago. Combine a sightseeing-walking tour of the city with visits of restaurants with a strong local culinary taste. Forget about Wiener schnitzel or Bled cream cake, try traditional dishes of the area which start with Carniolan … or Prešeren (after greatest Slovenia’s national poet who lived in the city). Your guide will take you to different restaurants where you will taste: five local dishes, appetizer, sparkling mineral water, three types of wine and one type of beer.
The culinary tour can be a supplement for lunch.
On the way you can discuss with the guide the following issues:
old-school sweets that are popular again, personal life of Slovene greatest national poet France Prešeren, national minorities in Slovenia, Slovene wine regions … or whatever might be interesting from your personal/professional point of view. Noricum travel – a small group travel.
